Does the library have my textbooks?

The library does not normally purchase textbooks for each class.

However, the library may have a copy of your textbook on reserve. We urge instructors to place a copy of their textbook on reserve in the library whenever possible. If something is on reserve, you can use it in the library for a few hours at a time.

You can search for your course to see if your textbook is on reserve. You can also search by instructor

If your book is not on reserve, ask your professor if they have an extra copy they would be willing to put on reserve. For many required readings that aren't textbooks (novels, plays, poetry, anthologies, essays), you can search our PML Search to see if we have a copy you can check out.
