Does the library have my textbooks?

The library does not purchase textbooks for every class, but we do have many course textbooks available in the library! The library may have a copy of your textbook on reserve at the circulation desk. We urge instructors to place a copy of their textbook on reserve whenever possible. If something is on reserve, you can use it in the library.

For many required readings that aren't textbooks (novels, plays, poetry, anthologies, essays, older editions), the library may have a copy in the main library collection on the 2nd floor.

Use PML Search on our library homepage to search for books, both on reserve and in the main collection.

If your book is not on reserve, ask your professor if they have an extra copy they would be willing to place in the library.

Chat with us if you have any questions or want to double check on any of your textbooks!
